Welcome to my weekly roundup of my favorite reads from around the internet, whether inspiring or thought-provoking or just plain fun. Enjoy!
- One man’s quest to draw 900,000 buildings in New York City. This absolutely fascinates me. Plus, I love his artistic style! I would definitely buy prints of his work.
The Truth About Hospitality by Nicole Bennett via Art of Simple – “It’s certainly not the easiest, but the simplest way to be hospitable might not involve my home at all. It might just be as simple making room in my heart.”
- Why I leave good reviews whenever I can by Tsh Oxenreider – because, as always, Tsh’s thoughtful & rational perspective has me thinking hard.
- This fascinating article on the effects of homework on elementary school students a) does not surprise me at all, and b) is one of the primary reasons why I feel so strongly about homeschooling, at least through elementary school age.
- I’ve seen the Bono & Eugene Peterson documentary floating around the past couple weeks, but hadn’t actually watched it yet. I finally did, and as an artist, it raised the hair on my neck in the best possible way. Bono’s comments on the essential nature of art and WHY we need it so desperately… Wow. Powerful and absolutely fascinating.
